Abstract:An inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometric method for the determination of major and minor components in polymetallic ore was studied. The samples were dissolved with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. Hydrofluoric acid was added to dispel silicon. The tested elements were determined with inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. To prepare calibration curve with the same components in sample and select analysis lines with little interference to eliminate the matrix effects and the spectral interference. Under the optimal working condition of equipment there was negligible interference between the tested elements. This method has been applied to the determination of certified reference materials with the relative standard deviations of 0.83% -3.4% and the results were in good agreement with the certified values. Compared with the current single element analysis method, this method had short analysis period and was applicable to the detection of polymetallic ore.
