A disscussion on the evaluation of uncertainty in measurement of solution volume in chemical analysis

Abstract:This paper attempts to discuss the rationality of the identification and treatment methods of uncertainty components in the measurement of solution volume in some published papers. It is concluded that: the evaluation precision of the uncertainty caused by indication error of metering device could be improved through replacing the tolerance with real difference; the volume difference of working standard solution (the difference of solution volume diluted under non-standard conditions and standard conditions) in solution preparation should be ignored; the temperature difference of solution in preparation and application should be calculated based on the actual process; the volume change of pipettor should not be ignored in using a pipettor.
