Abstract:A novel determination method of trace zinc by fluorescence quenching method was established in the presence of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and Tween-80 in NaAc-HAc buffer solution and with salicyl fluorone (SAF) as fluorescence reagent. The effects of buffer solution pH and dosage, SAF dosage, surfactant and the addition order of reagents on determination system were investigated, and the optimal experimental conditions were obtained. The results showed that Zn2+ content in the range of 0.036-4.0 μg/25 mL showed good linearity with fluorescence quenching value (ΔF) at maximum emission wavelength (λem=532 nm) of complex (the maximum excitation wavelength was λex= 370 nm). Detection limit of this method was 1.42 μg/L. The proposed method had been applied to the determination of zinc in tap network water. The results were consistent with those obtained by other methods, and the relative standard deviation (RSD, n=5) was 0.42 %.
