Abstract:In this paper, a method was introduced for determination of the common components in manganese ore including TMn、TFe、SiO2、Al2O3、CaO、MgO、TiO2 、P2O5、K2O by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry with fusion sample preparation. The burning loss of sample was corrected. The calibration curve was established after matrix correction using national certified reference materials and the calibration samples made from national certified reference materials as matrix. The optimized fusion sample preparation conditions at high temperature were as follows: lithium tetraborate was used as flux, ammonium nitrate was used as oxidant, 0.15 g of NH4I was added as release agent in twice (in fusion process and before solidification), and dilution ratio was 1∶12.5. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of manganese ore certified reference materials and actual samples. The determination results of certified reference materials were consistent with the certified values. The determination results of actual samples were accordant with those obtained by other methods. This method could meet the requirements of rapid analysis in production field.
