Abstract:The determination method of low content sulfur in manganese ore was established by high-temperature tube furnace heating coupled with infrared absorption method. The effect of instrument parameters on the determination results were discussed, including endline time, comparator level and analytical stability comparator. The optimal experimental conditions for determination of sulfur were obtained. This method has been applied to the detection of sulfur in manganese ore. The results showed that the linear range was 0.002%-0.032%, the detection limit was 0.001 %, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was smaller than 5 %.
