Abstract:The graphene oxide (GO) was prepared by the modified hummers method. Then the magnetic CoFe2O4 was grown on GO by hydro-thermal method. Polyethyleneimine (PEI) was used for amino-modification to prepare PEI amino-functionalized magnetic graphene oxide (PEI-MGO). The structure and microscopic morphology were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed that nano-sized spinel phase CoFe2O4 was uniformly dispersed on GO and the amino modification was successful. The adsorption performance of PEI-MGO to the reactive brilliant red X-3B in water was studied. The results indicated that the adsorption equilibrium could be reached under the following conditions: the initial mass concentration of reactive brilliant red X-3B was 150mg/L, the volume was 100mL, the dosage of adsorbent was 0.04g, the pH was 1 and the adsorption time was 60min. The equilibrium adsorption capacity was 361.15mg/g. The saturated adsorption capacity of PEI-MGO to reactive brilliant red X-3B was 470.58mg/g. The magnetic separation and magnetic recovery experiments indicated that PEI-MGO could be quickly separated from water, and the recovery rate was 98.6%.
