Abstract:The content of gold in gold ore is relatively low, so large sample analysis is usually required. If the dilution factor is too high, the measurement error will increase. When the dilution ratio of sample was 500-2500, the effect of two correction methods, i.e., strength ratio quantitative correction (the method of offline internal standard addition, hereinafter referred to as offline internal standard) and calibration curve calibration (the method of online internal standard addition, hereinafter referred to as online internal standard) on the determination results of gold was systemically compared. The results showed that the relative error (RE) of two methods was -1.9%--0.3% and -11.9%-3.4%, respectively. When the dilution factor was 1000, the relative error was -3.9%-3.3% and the relative standard deviation (RSD, n=6) was 0.90%-2.7% for the offline internal standard method, which was better than those of online internal standard method (i.e., the relative error was -9.0%-4.1% and the RSD was 2.1%-6.8%). It indicated that the offline internal standard method could more effectively eliminate the analysis error caused by too large dilution ratio of solution. The pipeline cleaning test showed that the online cleaning of injection line for 30s with 3g/L thiourea solution could effectively eliminate the memory effect of gold in determination process. Based on this, the gold sample in this study was decomposed with 50% aqua regia (V/V), and the offline-internal standard method with Pd was used for correction. The determination of gold in gold ore by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was realized. The correlation coefficient of calibration curve was 0.9998, the linear range was 2-200μg/g, and the detection limit of method was 0.012μg/g. The actual samples of gold ore with different types were determined according to the experimental method. The found results were basically consistent with those obtained by aqua regia decomposition-activated carbon adsorption-flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The relative standard deviation (RSD, n=6) was 0.80%-1.9%.
