Abstract:The copper alloy sample was dissolved with nitric acid. Cu 324.754 nm and Y 377.433 nm was selected as the analytical line and internal standard line, respectively. The mass concentration of Y was 10 mg/L. The experimental conditions were optimized. The analysis method of major element (copper) in copper alloy by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) was established. The results showed that the intensity ratio of analytical line and internal standard line was linear to the mass fraction of copper in range of 20.00%-73.00%. The linear correlation coefficient was r=0.999 7. The proposed method was applied for the determination of copper in two copper alloy samples. The relative standard deviation (RSD, n=10) was 0.39% and 0.30%, respectively, which was much lower than that without internal standard method. The content of copper in four standard samples of copper alloy was determined according to the experimental method, and the found results were consistent with the certified values.
