Abstract:TiAl-type intermetallic Ti-47.5Al-2.5V-1.0Cr is a kind of potential lightweight high temperature alloy, and can be used to produce precision casting high-temperature components. The quality and usability of this titanium alloy casting are affected by composition proportion and foundry technology. Therefore, it is necessary to study the three-dimensional (3D) composition distribution. The laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) was used for excitation at the design multiple positions in depth. The measurement data at every position was obtained. The measurement data of 3D coordinates in corresponding displacement system formed matrix. The 3D coordinates in 3D displacement system were converted to the 3D coordinates of actual dimensional measurement of the specimen. A certain proportion of multi-layer data were selected to obtain the 3D-composition distribution profile by Matlab simulation. The analysis method for 3D space-composition distribution was established. The 3D near-surface analysis of Ti-47.5Al-2.5V-1.0Cr swirler was conducted according to the experimental method. The composition distribution pattern cognition, which was different from the previous form, was obtained. The lamellar positive segregation of C and Ca was parallel to the specimen surface, while the lamellar negative segregation of Cr and V was obliquely crossed on the surface. After deducting the 40 μm surface layer, the calculated median of Ti/Al atom ratio was 1.02, which was closed to the charge ratio of 1.03.
