Abstract:Aluminium in aluminium alloy was dissolved by bromine-methanol. The residuals left by filtration and separation were digested by HF and HNO3, then Si and F was removed through evolution of sulfuric acid fume. After the obtained salts were dissolved by HCl, the content of aluminum in the sample solution was determined by chromazurol S spectrophotometry in the presence of hexamethylenetetramine and ascorbic acid, so that the content of oxide inclusion was figured out. The experiment determined that the maximal absorption wavelength of the complex produced by chromazurol S and aluminum was 545 nm; 5 mL of 20 g/L ascorbic acid and 5 mL of 300 g/L hexamethylenetetramine at pH 8.8 was used. The content of oxide inclusion in aluminum alloy sample, which was expressed in the mass fraction of aluminum, was determined by the experimental method. The results were basically consistent with those obtained by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The relative standard deviation (RSD,n=10)was less than 2.0%, and the standard addition recoveries were between 95%-102%.
