Abstract:An atmospheric heavy metal analyzer based on X-ray fluorescence spectrometry was configured by this experiment to establish a simultaneous on-line analysis method for multi heavy metals in atmospheric particulates. Method accuracy, sensitivity, repeatability and detection limit was assessed through determining standard membrane. Through comparison with the experimental results of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) adopted by National standard method, it was verified that the method could determine the content of multi heavy metals in atmospheric particulates accurately with relative error smaller than 15%. The content of heavy metals in interior and exterior atmospheric particulates within certain period was determined on-line by the experiment instruments and analyzed preliminarily in combination with released air quality index (AQI). The results showed that the content of heavy metal had certain positive correlation with fine particulates (PM 2.5). It proved that the reliability of the instrument practical application by monitoring data in a month at atmospheric super monitoring station in Guangdong. With the development, parameter assessment and simple application of the above method as well as cross analysis of multi data, it indicated that the experiment method was able to meet the demand of daily supervision on heavy metal.
