Abstract:The precipitation of carbide and intermetallic compound in Fe-Ni based high temperature alloy with high Cr after aging was investigated by using physicochemical phase analysis method. The electrochemical extraction methods of precipitates in Fe-Ni based high temperature alloy were obtained as well as the phase separation methods. The type and content of precipitate phase and the particle size distribution of γ′ phase were also determined. The results showed that the high temperature alloy contained γ′,NbC,TiC,Laves and σ precipitate phases; with the prolonging of aging time, the content of TiC and NbC phases varied little; the content of Laves and γ′ phases increased a little, while the content of σ phase increased significantly. The increase of the content of σ phase and the augment of the particle size of γ′ phase were the main causes for the decline of yield strength of high temperature alloy. The results are of instructional significance for the control of components of Fe-Ni based high temperature alloy with high Cr, the selection of production process and the proper formulation of heat-treatment system.
