Abstract:In order to accurately distinguish different phases in steel sample and establish a relatively intuitive quantitative analysis method, the research took TRIP steel as an example to characterize its microstructures, phases and similar structure phases by optical microscopy, X-ray diffractometer and electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD). It was found that, by means of EBSD, not only body-centered cubic (BCC) and face-centered cubic (FCC) structures in TRIP steel can be distinguished, but also ferrite, bainite, martensite of similar structures can be distinguished through band contrast image. The qualitative distribution and quantitative results were thus obtained: ferrite, 45.10%| bainite, 47.80%| austenite, 5.23%|martensite, 1.87%, showing its remarkable advantages in distinguishing similar structure phases.
