Abstract:The separation and enrichment conditions of gold by 717 anion exchange resin were studied. The determination method of gold in gold concentrate and tailing by spectrophotometry was established. In the medium of 10 % (volume fraction) hydrochloric acid, gold was quantitatively adsorbed by resin in form of AuCl. Then, the gold in resin was eluted by 10 mL of 60 g/L thiourea solution. The excessive thiourea in elution solution was destroyed by hydrogen peroxide. Finally, the gold in elution solution was determined by extraction spectrophotometry with crystal violet. The coexisting four anions and seventeen cations in gold concentrate and tailing had no interference in the determination of gold. The detection limit of method was 0.43 μg/L. The determination results of ore samples were consistent with those obtained by atomic absorption method after pre-enrichment by activated carbon. The relative standard deviations (RSDs, n=5) of determining gold in concentrate and tailing were 5.4% and 7.2%, respectively.
