Abstract:A method for determination of Cr, Co, Ni, Cu and Ga in vanadium titano-magnetite was established by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The sample dissolution system was discussed, and the acid system of HCl+HNO3+HF+HClO4 was selected to dissolve sample by fuming. Under the optimal instrumental working parameters, the potential spectral interferences and the interference state were investigated. Consequently, 52Cr, 60Ni, 59Co, 63Cu and 71Ga was selected as determination isotopes. Matrix effect and the correction effect of internal standard elements on determination results were investigated. It was found that the application of internal standard element Sc could effectively improve determination precision and reduce signal intensity drifting caused by matrix effect. Detection limit of the method was 0.08-2.34 ng/mL. The proposed method was applied to the determination of chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper and gallium in vanadium titano-magnetite certified reference materials, including GBW07224, GBW07227 and BH0103. The results were accordant with the certified values, and the relative standard deviation (RSD, n=6) was not more than 6.8%.
