Abstract: The precipitation behaviors of carbide and intermetallic compounds in heat resistant steel P92 after tempering and aging were studied by physicochemical phase analysis method. The extraction and separation method of precipitation phase in steel P92, as well as the type, content and composition formula of precipitation phase in steel were obtained by experiments. The results showed that, the tempering-state sample contained two precipitation phases including M23C6 and M(CN). After aging for 100 h, Laves phase was observed in X-ray analysis. With the prolonging of aging time, the Laves phase increased significantly. In addition, for samples with high W and Mo content, the increment of Laves precipitation phase was more, while the increment M23C6 precipitation phase was less, and the content of M(CN) in precipitation phase was basically changeless. The precipitated Laves phase of steel P92 in short time showed significant strengthening effect. The increase of Laves precipitation phase within 1 000 h could effectively improve the strength of steel P92 at room temperature and 600℃.
