Wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometric method for the determination of sulfur, iron, lead, zinc, and molybdenum in sulfur concentrates.
Abstract:By adopting powder-pressing sample preparation, wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometric determination of sulfur, iron, lead, zinc, molybdenum in sulfur concentrate was established. For the purpose of analyzing sulfur in sulfur concentrate, the selection of sample preparation conditions and the optimization of analytical conditions were studied. Furthermore, the method for reducing matrix effect, mineral effect and element interference were also investigated. A series of production sample analyzed by chemical method for multiple times were used as standard samples for drawing calibration curve. Corresponding program was selected for curve fitting with good correlation coefficient in the range of 0.996 8-0.999 7. The established method can be successfully applied for the analysis of sulfur concentrates and the results were accordance with those from the traditional chemical method.
