Abstract:An inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) for simultaneous determination of twelve macro and trace elements(Si,Mn,P,Cu,Mo,V,Ti,Sn,Sb,Mg,La,Ce) in rare earth magnesium cast iron was established. The pretreatment of rare earth magnesium cast iron sample was studied. The instrument parameters and analytical lines were optimized. The matrix effect was corrected by matrix matching method. The results showed that the linear correlation coefficients of calibration lines of elements were all higher than 0.999 0. The detection limit of method was in the range of 0.00012 %-0.0014 %. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of certified reference materials of rare earth magnesium cast iron, and the determination values were consistent with the certified values. The relative standard deviations (RSD) were in the range of 0.59 % (Si) - 6.9 % (La).
