Abstract:The segregation state of elements in continuous casting slab should be tested in the rolling and ensuing process. Original position statistic distribution analysis technique was used in this paper to research the segregation state of the elements such as C, Si, Mn, P, S and Cr in the continuous casting slab of high carbon steel, especially the effect of the optimization scanning speed of the Original Position Analyzer (OPA). The one-dimensional segregation distribution chart of original position statistic distribution analysis were compared with the multi-point segregation distribution chart by the ICP-AES and infrared absorption analysis in continuous casting slab center position. It was found that the segregation distribution chart of two methods were consistent in segregation state. Our research showed the original position statistic distribution analysis technique can be used to test the segregation state of elements in continuous casting slab.
