Abstract:The initial homogeneity inspection of nonferrous certified reference materials / samples for spectral analysis was generally conducted according to the YS/T 409-1998 <Specification for CRMs for non-ferrous product analysis>. In this study, the ladle analysis data in the development of aluminium-zinc-indium alloy certified reference materials were used for example analysis. It was found that the shortcoming of this technical specification was the lack of significance test of difference for average measuring results within blocks. Therefore, the t test method was proposed for the significance test of difference for average measuring results within blocks. Consequently, this method was more rigorous than the technical specification. It not only considered the precision of measuring data within blocks, but also considered the difference of average measuring results. Therefore, it provided powerful technique guarantee for final homogeneity re-inspection.
