Abstract:X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) has been widely used in the analysis of manganese series alloys. It has the characteristics of fast detection speed, high analytical precision and good reproducibility. Total 36 articles concerning the determination methods of silicon, manganese and phosphorus in manganese series alloys (silicomanganese and ferromanganese) by XRF were summarized. Among them, 23 articles were about pressing sample preparation and 13 articles were about melting sample preparation. The application of these two methods was introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages were also briefly reviewed.
