Technical characteristics of inductively coupled plasma tandem mass spectrometry and its application status in China

Abstract:This paper introduces the instruments and technical characteristics of inductively coupled plasma tandem mass spectrometer (ICP-MS/MS), and summarizes its applications in the analysis of impurity elements in high-purity metals and their oxides, alloys and metallurgical materials, the analysis of trace element, isotope and elemental speciation in environmental sample, food,plant and traditional Chinese medicine, and inorganic elemental analysis in the chemical industry and semiconductors in the past five years. The development and application prospect of ICP-MS/MS are prospected.
