Abstract：The ion optical system of inductively coupled plasma quadrupole mass spectrometry (ICP QMS) was briefly introduced. The ion optical systems of ICP QMS from main instrument manufacturers (such as Agilent, PerkinElmer, Thermo Fisher and Varian) were induced,which could be classified into three types including photon stop, off axis and 90 degree deflection. The present situation and advance in different types of ion optical system were reviewed in detail.
