Abstract:The vanadium titanium magnetite contained a certain amount of zinc. In blast furnace smelting process, zinc can be reduced to metallic zinc, which will corrode the refractory materials of furnace body. Therefore, zinc was a kind of harmful element in smelting of vanadium titanium magnetite, and its content should be strictly controlled. The sample was dissolved in hydrochloric acid-nitric acid-hydrofluoric acid-perchloric acid system. Zn 206.200nm was selected as the analytical line. The influence of matrix effect was eliminated by preparing the calibration curve using matrix matching method. The content of zinc in vanadium titanium magnetite was determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The mass fraction of zinc content in range of 0.01%-0.05% was linear to the corresponding emission intensity with correlation coefficient of 0.9999. The detection limit of method was 0.0030μg/mL. The content of zinc in two vanadium titanium magnetite samples was determined according to the experimental method. The relative standard deviations (RSD, n=10) of determination results were less than 1%. The spiked recoveries were between 98% and 102%.
