Abstract:The mass spectrometer is composed of many functional modules including ion source, ion lens system, detector and vacuum units, etc. The ion lens system is responsible for the transportation of ions generated in ion source to the detector. Meanwhile, the interference molecules and photons can be removed. Thus it influences some indexes such as sensitivity and low limit of determination of instrument. One kind of ion lens power supply based on ARM digital control was introduced. This power could realize the dynamic setting of multi-channel power supply and monitor the real-time power output. By combining with the mechanical components of ion lens, the ion transportation could be realized. At the same time, the lens voltage could be automatically adjusted to meet the high-efficiency transmission of ions with different charge-to-mass ratio, thus improving the sensitivity of instrument. The mass spectrometer prototype tests showed that the design of this system was reliable with stable power output. It could meet the requirements of ion lens power for mass spectrometer.
