Abstract:The sample was digested by aqua regia in oven at 180 ℃ for 12 h. Then, 10 mL of 100 g/L lanthanum chloride solution and 10 mL of 100 g/L copper sulfate solution were added as releasing agent. Consequently, iridium in platinum-iridium alloy was determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The results showed that, the concentration of iridium in the range of 15-100 μg/mL exhibited good linear relationship to the absorbance. The linear regression equation was A=0.000 83ρ+0.001 5 with correlation coefficient of 0.999 5. The detection limit of method was 0.002 8 μg/mL. This method was applied to the determination of iridium in Pt25Ir and Pt10Ir samples, and the recovery test was conducted by addition of iridium standard solution. The relative standard deviation (n=11) was 1.6 % and 2.3 %, respectively. The recoveries were between 95% and 101%.
