Abstract: Through separating the matrix lead with sulfuric acid precipitation and selecting the suitable analytical lines as well as using background correction methods to eliminate the interferences of matrix and coexisting elements, the determination of trace impurity elements such as arsenic, bismuth, copper, antimony, tin, zinc and iron in high-purity lead was realized by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. All the parameters of instruments were optimized and the established method for determination was applied to the analysis of actual sample. The results showed that the determination values of arsenic, bismuth, copper, antimony, tin, zinc and iron in the standard samples of high-purity lead by this method were consistent with the certified values, and the relative standard deviations of determination results were equally less than 7%.
