Abstract: The use of ultrasonic cavitation can effectively strengthen the leaching of rare earths in the southern ionic rare earth ore, thereby increasing the leaching rate of rare earths and shortening the analysis time of the total rare earths in minerals. Ultrasonic leaching for 30 min in 20g / L ammonium sulfate leaching solution make the leaching rate of ionic rare earths be more than 99%, while the traditional stirring method takes 4 hours, even leach overnight. The ultrasonic method and stirring method has similar leaching rate for interfere impuritis iron and aluminum. After the masking agents acetylacetone and sulfosalicylic acid are added, the end judgment of titration of rare earth by EDTA is not affected, and the measured results are well consistent with the results of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.
