Abstract:One of technic characteristics of original position statistic distribution analysis technique is detecting content and distribution in large area of metal materials quickly and quantificationally. Based on this, macro segregation and distribution of C,Mn in the continuously casting slab was studied quantificationally. The indexs such as content segregation, the maximum segregation degree, the statistical segregation degree, and the statistic degree of accord were adopted to judge the segregation characteristic and distribution. It showed that the segregation of carbon and manganese was main generated at the position of center and 1/4 slab width with the inner more serious than the outer. The distribution of segregation could be concluded to point distribution, line distribution, and area distribution. This application of original position statistic distribution analysis technique is of great advantage for the controlling of slab quality and the monitoring of technological conditions.
